As Levana settles into her new role as Wife, she learns married life isn't all she thought it would be. To make matters worse, she has yet to bond with her new stepdaughter Winter, or new niece Selene.

Channary, however, has bonded well with Selene and takes to motherhood with grace and enthusiasm no one expected. But a surprise illness leaves Selene without a mother, and Luna without a queen.

As Selene is too young to be crowned queen, Levana steps into the role of Queen Regent and finally has all she has ever wanted; well, almost.
