As Levana devises a plan to become the Queen, and not the Queen Regent, Selene and Winter develop a bond as cousins, and friends. Selene, Winter, Jacin, and Evret all enjoy a birthday celebration for Selene's 3rd, while Levana sets into motion the events that will change their lives forever.

After announcing the loss of Selene, Levana dedicates more time and energy to being the best queen possible and providing an heir to the throne.  Rumors whispered in the corners of the palace reveal that citizens think Levana is responsible for Selene's death. But an even worse rumor catches Levana's ear: 

Selene survived.
