Jacin defends his innocence to Levana and the Lunar court, while Aimery tries a lazy hand at sabotage and loses his head. Winter is a girl made of ice and snow, awaiting the verdict of Jacin's fate; but the Queen only has time for one of his tales.

While suffering his penance for his crimes, Winter sneaks away from her guards to visit Jacin.  Jacin shows a rare amount of emotion and reveals to Winter the true secrets he learned while traveling with the Rampion Crew.

But his secrets are more than just stories; one of them is a promise to a friend, and the other, is a legend come true.
