In this weeks chapters:

Levana calls Jacin to her throne room for a private meeting with her and Aimery. Levana reveals her fears for Winter’s future and gives Jacin a mission that will prove his loyalty to The Queen once and for all. Despite his reservations and best efforts, Jacin agrees to the mission, saluting the queen before exiting her throne room.

Cress has felt lonely and trapped hiding in Jacin’s guard quarters. She spends her days on her port screen, trying to assist Cinder and her cause in anyway she can. When Jacin arrives distraught and full of more emotion than she’s ever seen him show before, she’s quick to offer her assistance. But Jacin’s request may put Cress in even more danger, and his vow to protect her life with his own is her only comfort.
