In this weeks chapters, Jacin offers Scarlet cryptic information, demanding she rescue Winter and get a message to Cinder. 

Winter is distraught at the loss of Ryu, but stands by her convictions and refuses to use her gift. Scarlet takes charge and she and Winter escape the palace, with help from Cress. Upon finding their podship, Winter and Scarlet prepare to take off, with a vague plan to find Wolf's family, and their friends. 

But before they can leave, Winter has to ensure safety protocols are followed.
