Summary

Winter and Jacin bring reinforcements to the battle at the Lunar Palace. But Winter is overwhelmed when she is faced with the carnage of war. A threat from Aimory to both Jacin and Scarlet forces Winter to use her gift for the first time in nearly six years. But has her gift been out of use so long it is now out of control?

Winter fights off the delirium and panic as she tries to cope with what she did, or rather what she made Scarlet do, in the name of self-defense. But not even the love and support of Jacin can keep the howling wolves of guilt away.
