Thorne is playing a hand of royals in the hotel lobby and after an unlikely winning hand where he also wins a new escort droid he is met with confrontation.  When an unfortunate series of events leads to a brawl, a new friend pulls Thorne out of the chaos and offers him a drink.

Thorne is surprised to learn that their caravan rescuers might trade in goods unfamiliar to him and is taken aback when he realizes Cress is one of those goods and has already been taken away.  Thorne attacks the caravaner who tried to lure him away, vowing to go and find Cress himself.
